We bought this boat so we could still cruise the islands while looking for our perfect boat. We have since purchased another bigger boat and need to bring it up to our slip so the Hatteras is up for sale. Almost everything on our to-do list was done but we could not get the cockpit and transom painted in time before the weather turned. We also have a few Gallons of "Kiwigrip" non-skid deck paint to apply but again, our painters could not get it done before the weather turned.

    WORK NEEDED
Cockpit and trim paint. We have the paint. Needs a sunny day over 60 degrees or inside a heated building in winter. UPDATE - we were quoted under $3000 for the paintwork.
Deck non-slip paint applied. Again we have the paint, but need the weather window or a heated building
Trim tabs have no 12 volt power, needs to be diagnosed
Vertical deck surfaces still need to be buffed, needs warmer weather
All operational and safety systems fully functioning. There are some leftover knobs and switches . . . perhaps from items removed long ago, they may work but we don't yet know what they do.
Autoplot needs adjusting (or someone to read the manual). We engaged it recently and did a very precise circle to starboard.
Flybridge has small drip from Hynautic steering
A few other little tings I am tryng to get to.

This old girl is a great cruiser - she runs strong and surefooted. Tons of outside room and we always have friends on our back deck when anchored with a group. She is set up to be a great live-aboard or extended island cruiser. Rather than wait until spring and sell her at full price all painted up we have opted to post her at a discounted $65,000 pretty firm.

Which autopilot do you have? If its the old Bendix, then your problem is probably a burnt out light bulb in the compass unit. When the bulb burns out, she just turns to stbd.

Are you kidding? That would be nice. It is a "Benmar" which is probably what you meant. I will go on a light bulb hunt shortly - thanks!
