    On Priorities

John finally decided to tie the knot with his longtime girlfriend.

One evening, after the honeymoon, he was down in the bilge, setting the rack on his port DD 6v92 engine.

His new wife was standing there in the salon watching him.

After a long period of silence she finally spoke, "Honey, I've just been
thinking, now that we are married maybe it's time you quit spending
all your time down on the boat.

As a matter of fact, you probably should just consider selling all your fishing gear, along with this stupid Hattteras thing.

A horrified look came across John’s face.

    She said, "Darling, what's wrong?"

He replied, "There for a minute you were starting to sound like my ex-wife."

"Ex-wife!" she screamed, "YOU NEVER TOLD ME YOU WERE MARRIED BEFORE!"

    John replied: “I wasn't.

Nice how you reworked that for Hatt owners.

That was good enough to make the Evening Funny Post. Great story thanks for sharing.

    Re: On Priorities

My Admiral actually got down in the ER to push the new batteries into place (8D's), when we replaced all four by ourselves. She has offered to crawl down and help with the port side water pump impeller, which is a little hard for me to reach (cramped). Are you jealous?

P.s., I made a rig for installing the batteries "by myself" (she helped) that was a wire rope on a crank that rolled back and forth on a rail. Worked well. Would post pics, if desired. Maybe I should anyway?

During the 5 hauls in the past 13 years my wife, MaryAnn has painted the bottom every time including much of the prep. Excluding the first haul when a the bottom was stripped and all blisters repaired. She still did the paint.

Her suggesting I part with our boat is not likely.
