    In Jacksonville FL
I will measure and take pictures this weekend and post.
As far as I can tell it is the original supplied with the boat by Hatteras.

Video of the port engine removal. A little harder
because it had to be swung over to the middle of the saloon before being transfer to the main i beam

The ER work really looks to be coming along. What size Cummins are you installing?

    Re: 53 MY Repower, started!

    450 C series factory reman

We re bringing the first one over on Friday to start setting up the engine beds, mounts while the ER and being cleaned and painted

Also have to repair the rear port bulkhead. Completely loose from the repeated banging during the storm the 15' long section of broken toe rail is already repaired and it s amazing how hull side doesdnt even have a stress crack despite the fact it was unsupported and pushed in by a piling which eventually broke.

    Re: 53 MY Repower, started!

Did you expect anything less from a vintage Hatteras? About 20 years ago we were heading up the
New River in Ft. Lauderdale late one night after a great day on the water. We were on a 70'+ Hatteras
MY. As we were going around a curve in the river, we lost control of the shifters, which we needed to
make the turn. The boat was stuck in fwd gear and we were headed straight to a dock behind one of
the nice houses that lined the river. We hit the dock with sufficient force to break it up including snapping
the pilings like toothpicks. The shift cables came off the levers of the transmission and the captain must
have panicked somewhat. The amazing thing is that even with the destroyed dock, the Hatteras hull
was only scratched with a few deep gouges. No cracks of any kind to the hull or deck. The main damage
was to the captain's ego. Gotta love those old Hatts.

They re degreasing the ERs... almost half a century of sludge! Old stabs should be out early next week along with old plywood floors then paint and start fitting the first engine

So far just 2 weeks and 2 days since it all started.

Wow. What speed will the boat achieve with the new engines?
