CA boaters may want to top off tanks before Halloween

"Nov. 1, 2017: The 1.75 percent diesel fuel sales tax will increase to 5.75 percent." Not sure if that includes red dyed diesel, red dyed diesel being exempt from the Base Diesel Fuel Excise Tax, which goes from 16 to 36 cents.Anybody know?

Not 100% positive but I believe red dyed diesel is exempt

They're not illegal immigrants. They are "undocumented criminals"

If anyone really believes that gas tax increase will go to repair roads, then I have some nice swamp land for sale cheap, perfect for building your dream house. In Calif. we have heard this tune before and the tax money ends up in the general fund where it is wasted on some “do good” projects. John

Off road (red-dyed) diesel is tax exempt. Although I live in Nevada I keep my boat in a California marina and researched that when the legislation passed. I notice that someone noted the fuel tax increase was to help provide services to illegal immigrants. If my information is correct the much of the tax increase is going to help pay for one way bus fare to Florida for these folks - enjoy their company.

I have to put up with enough political BS on Facebook and the daily news by the idiots on far fringes of both sides of the spectrum, I don't need it on the Forums that I use for gathering information for my favorite hobby. I know I just violated that but I couldn't resist it.
