    Robert,

What is the ash content for the Rotella T1? Is it 1% according to the list provided in this thread and others or is Rotella T1 a newer product with a lower ash content. 1% is the only number I can find.

    Thanks!

I’ve used Lubrication Engneers Monolec GFS40 have since 1978. When I rebuilt my engines the bearings that came out showed little or no wear. Most big fleet operators use this stuff. I buy it by the 55 gal drum and it ain’t cheap but I wouldn’t use anything else.

By the way there’s a dam inside the oil pan that retains almost a gallon of oil you can only get it out by removing the front drain plug.

I buy Delo 100 from O'Reilly's. $5 gallon cheaper than West Marine.

I use Delo 400 from RK Allen a local diesel/oil distributor. Don't recall the last price I paid but it was somewhere near $70/5gal. Takes about a week lead time for them to get it in.
