Anyone tried Mr Cool for gear coolers? They want $250 each for ones that fit 315 Diamond 6btas. Other sources are $500 +.

Did you try Tony Athens at Seaboard Marine, in Oxnard, CA? Or T&S Marine Engines in Crisfield, MD? Those are my two go-to shops for Cummins parts.

Re: 6bta gear cooler
I ordered from Mr Cool. Tony had them $525, Lenco $295. They are made in the USA. I'll report back.

Seaboard doesn't make them- they are probably all made by Lenco or Sendure. I'll bet you it's the same item.

Re: 6bta gear cooler
Seaboard has everything and anything, but they have a premium on off the shelf stuff. Which is fine. Though, the aftercooler cleaning kits seem to be a good value.

Coolers arrived. Same size and weight as the old. They do come with two zincs and a ground terminal. The old ones had neither.
I think they will be fine.Fred
