I have a 16 and a 12 on one 5 series.
That's about the top for them.
The 3 should handle the 18.

Re: March Pumps--Possibly the Worst Customer Service Ever!
I called up and got design spec they use. He said keep the LC-3 and look for about 6 F degree temp rise(+/- a few degrees allowed) in the water and also make sure the filter-dryer is at most warm to the touch, not hot (indicating enough subcool).
If these are off, add more water flow. It could be my pump is old/warn as well. I'm getting about 5gpm right now. I need to clean the cooling tubes as one side of the motor gets hot to the touch and the epoxy is rough. I'll probably replace with air cooled as we are silty here when the mud gets stirred up.FTFD... i drive a slow 1968 41c381
