Swim Platform - Before and After

Here are the fruits of my labor during the long winter up here. Decided to extend my swim platform, while keeping to the original design.

Did you add to the old one or build a complete new one?

I added about 19" which makes a lot of difference when you're moving about.

I had some U-channels made up the depth of the new platform and installed them upside down on the existing brackets. I didn't want to disturb the brackets and existing through-bolts on the transom. The original brackets are very sturdy and don't seem to be bothered by the extensions.
