    Can you have a machine shop build cut you a new gear. Did that for my simpson lawrence windlass, that was out of production and no parts available, and had the motor tuned...better than when I bought her.

    Thanks for the follow up. I never posted that I finally found the gears Nos on eBay. My stabilizers are fully functional and work great.

    Video by the guy working on the electronics on sandspur's boat. I'm not sure I could find it again. It was poor quality anyway. I was just struck by the fact that they used power steering boxes to amplify the action of the servos. Off the shelf components to do the heavy lifting. Smart.
