I have been trying to get an insurance quote on an early 1970's Hatteras Motor Yacht with an estimated value of 160 K. I having problems getting quotes.
Would owners of comparable age Yachts share their company's name please?
Boat US was over 10K/year, Ski Safe was 3K but very limited (no bahamas), no hurricane coverage/no named storm coverage, and require a check off from a captain before you can operate on your own!!
It is getting frustrating. Any help is appreciated.
Thanks

There are a lot of variables. Post more details and you should get some productive replies. Coverage area, homeport, do you live near the boat and in the same state, years of experience with a similar sized boat, any major losses etc.

Try Charter Lakes they gave me the best coverage at the best price. I presently own a 1988 Bertram 33 but I used to own a 1967 34 Hatteras that they insured. I'm sure you'll need a current survey.
