Georgia pig was sold a while back and everything went through a microwave. I couldn't handle that.

As a fried chicken aficionado I always hit the Georgia Pig in FtL (1285 S. State Road 7, www.georgiapig.com ) every Friday when their long-established daily special is the best in town. (Better arrive early--the place fills up fast!)

I am also a fan of their chopped pork sandwich. I was last there in early May. The new owners seem to be maintaining quality. I arrived early and saw the chef chopping the meat by hand just as always. Didn't notice any microwave, but wasn't looking either. I thought it was just as good as previously. I highly recommend it. Do wear your old clothes though, you will surely come away smelling smokey.

I actually had a broker (didn't know him personally) offer me tickets EVERY year, this despite the fact I kept telling him I was NOT in the market for another boat. He kept sending them, I kept telling him the same thing, and he finally stopped. I need to stop being so damned honest! It costs me money!

Same Georgia Pig co. that used to be Exit 29 in Georgia off 95? Wife and I lived on Jeykll Island and would go almost every week! Awesomely the best chopped pork sandwich (just my opinion)!!!
