Looking to buy a turnkey gasoline genset in the 4-6 kw range. Not looking for a project but for a plug n play.
Thanks,

Maybe its for his house. You can use the pool for cooling water and run for days without a problem.

Re: 4 to 6kw gas genset wanted
I still remember that mothers day where they were rafted five deep at Coconuts in Cleveland when someone hit the genny switch on my friends boat. The biggest piece they found was about 4 square inches. He washed ashore miles down the lake two months later. I'm not sure they ever found his wife or his/her? parents. The 18 month old was mostly unharmed but instantly orphaned. Apparently the genny was not wired through the blowers......
The legal aftermath was a farce...... http://articles.latimes.com/1993-12-...boat-explosion
Ask me if I like gas on boats......Last edited by oscarvan; 04-12-2016 at 07:21 PM.

So, did Chuckie end up with millions of dollars? Not making fun of the tragedy, but I'm not sure how the article sheds any light on who or what was to blame.
As to your blower comment, you do realize they operate on DC and gensets make AC, right? Explosions of that nature are due to negligence. Yes, gasoline is explosive and requires care. You have seen gasoline powered engines and gensets on sailboats, right?
Thousands upon thousands of gasoline powered boats operate with no problems whatsoever, and many (gasp) even run their gasoline powered gensets while they sleep. It's all about proper maintenance, proper safety equipment, and basic knowledge of why things go boom.Randy Register - Kingston, TN
