    Tactical flashlight

Has anyone bought one? The adds sure make them seem great. Wanted to hear from some one else before buying one. Thanks.

    Re: Tactical flashlight

I have bought several from MFTactical including two of these.

I find them VERY useful. I have one on my person or nearby at all times, and when I need to SEE something it does the trick. Bit of an investment in the batteries and chargers, but I find that they last quite a long time before the need to recharge. Got my wife one for in her purse.

Disclaimer..... I have NO relationship whatsoever with this vendor or his products.

Well worth the money. Make sure to only get the one that has rechargeable batteries. They are great in the engine rooms but they eat up battery life.

These things are the bomb of bombs, and a great replacement for spotlights:

2 X on the Marinebeam Long Range illuminator. It's fairly large, but if you want to illuminate something across town, across the bay or across the harbor, then that's the baby to have.

For the money, can't beat these: http://www.dx.com/s/romisen Batteries are cheap. The RC-R5 is my favorite and I use it everyday at work.

This is another great one that is super bright. http://www.dx.com/p/singfire-sf-347-...2#.VwsDSE8Ykq4

Battery life is good...depends on the batteries. But batteries are cheap and chargers are cheap. I just buy extra batteries. I'd rather have a smaller light and just change battery out.

The RC-T609 works well and last a while, but it is bigger and doesn't fit in pocket as nicely.

I work in industrial facilities where guys have the $100+ flashlights that work bought them and these cheapies work just as well. Plus, they fit in pocket.

This is HID and is pretty intense as well. It get freakn' HOT, but it lights up the world. http://www.dx.com/p/sdt-01-rechargea...5#.VwsEOU8Ykq4

I have a couple of these

Expensive as hell ($300 or so) but bright enough to make the sun squint. Lights up the far side of the harbor over 1 mile away. Kicks the hell out of my giant car battery powered 10" reflector krypton bulbed monster.
