    I agree, the 50 is a great boat with the same sized cockpit of the 45 at 135sq ft and the addition of a 3rd stateroom on most of them. The 50 has a nice balance of fishability and nice accommodations, but compared to the other boats he mentioned it's a bit more expensive for a nice one. I especially like the later models with the prop pockets and CAT power. Reduces the draft below 5' and give a nice solid economical cruise. They're big money though compared to 45, 46, 52, and 55. If you were going that route dollar wise I'd consider a CAT 3412 powered 54 also. It's only money, right? After our recovery summer is complete there should be plenty to go around.

    I have a 52 repowered with 2x575 scanias it is a great combination
