Re: 1976 hatters motor yacht - $25000 (panama city)

I believe Paul (paulgwiz) and Tom (ez2beme) both have that same boat and engine package. I have the 6-71 TI's and I love them 20+ knots when I need it and 1.7 sm per gallon at 9 kts when I don't.

Yes that is the same boat that was Here at the Ft .Myers yacht Basin. I am familiar with the boat. I met the guy that bought her. He is mid 30's & I don't think he had a clue about getting this big of a boat.

It was owned by an older guy that got ill ( cancer ) & just couldn't keep it up. I do a lot of business with the brokers office that sold the boat.

I was going to buy that boat To FLIP. My guy I trust said it was a good boat needing the right owner. The wiring issue I was told is very minor to fix. As a forum insider the boat sold for 18,000.00 / The guy that sold it was just sad a desperate for the money & to get rid of the 600.00 mo. expense.

in My opinion it would be worth a look . When I was considering it I was informed it needed heads. ( ya the kind you poo in. ) I know the boat fired right up and made the trip from ft. myers to panama city with no problems . (Just Filters) .

If you want I can see if I can get more history on this boat.

I have the same boat & have become very familiar with this model.

My 1979 43DC has 310 HP 6-71N's that were set up by J&T (Johnson & Towers). As I recall the lowest HP rating on the base 6-71N's was 285 HP.

I talked to connie @ Sea Horse Marine, about the boat & she called the guy she sold it to. He said the boat was sold to a guy in Cape Coral.....

I still think it's the same boat....
