Pics suggest that looks like a nice boat.

Now THAT one IS worth driving over to look at. That looks like a lot of boat for an ask of $39K. If I were in the market for a 43MY, I'd be in my car by now.

    Jim,

This is one of the most common mistakes I see. People calling a 43DC, a 43MY. They are two completely different models built on the same hull.

I'm sure it was a typo, but I'm sorry, it's just one of my pet peeves.

Sky, I believe Hatteras originally referred to the 1971 - 1984 DC as a double cabin MY and gradually it became known simply as the 43 DC with the advent of the 1984 43 MY. Besides, a rose by any other name.. yada yada...... The 53 MY was simply a 53 MY prior to the introduction of the ED at which time it became known as the 53 Classic.

No, he's right, my mistake. It's still worth looking at even if I had the model name wrong.

No, Hatteras has always referred to the 43 DC as a DC, never as a double cabin MY. They also never called the 53 MY a classic, it remained the 53 MY throughout its run.

And I think they have never built a boat actually called a sportfisher, have they? They've always been called convertibles- well, to be exact, the first 41, the Knit Wits model, was actually called a convertible yachtfisherman, or something like that.

Now I'm going to have to look. I don't want to be wrong twice in one day.

This isn't my day. They built 28, 32, and 36 models which were called "Sportfisher".

    That is all.

The brochure archive tells the story. Thanks Sams. What a great resource.

BTW, I have never seen a 1984 MY or DC. I think they skipped a year to retool.
