First, I know this is primarily a diesel crowd, but I was just curious as to the availability of ethanol-free fuel at marinas, especially from the Tennessee River to the Clearwater area. It's still found at marinas in this area, and it seems there are a number of marinas in Florida where it is still offered.
Second, how long can E10 set in a fiberglass fuel tank without causing any problems? I'm assuming if you run it out about as fast as you put it in, there would be no damage, especially if the tanks were topped off with ethanol-free fuel at the end of a run and possibly intermittently during an extended run.

Re: Ethanol-Free Gasoline
Looked at it in more detail, and it actually does list marinas. You just have to check by city and state. Thanks for the link, that was a good find. Looks like they have an iPhone app too, so that will make planning easier.
You or anybody else wanna tackle the second question?Randy Register - Kingston, TN

Re: Ethanol-Free Gasoline
The iPhone is even better as it is GPS based. Looks like it's not totally accurate since it doesn't list my marina or a couple more. I can fix that for them.

Re: Ethanol-Free Gasoline
Cant say for sure. E10 was e40 here for a while. You cant be sure what you get or how long until it breaks down the tank. .

Re: Ethanol-Free Gasoline
Ethanol doesn't just affect the tank. Carburetor seals and parts are also ruined. Just ask the outboard engine guys.

Re: Ethanol-Free Gasoline
The CEO of Briggs & Stratton just testified to congress about how bad E10 has been and the consequences and near inevitability of misfueling when E15 is introduced.
Basically, for most engines they should start calling it deathanol.--- The poster formerly known as Scrod ---
