Re: Delivery Captain recommendations
From a price stand point, Ft Pierce is about the end of the $10/foot. I am at Pelican Yacht Club which is 1/2 mile from the inlet and has pool, clubhouse, 2 restaurants, fitness facility among other amenities. They also have equity ownership opportunities. Stuart on South, the price along with the population, climbs steadily. Depending on what you are looking for and how much you travel, Loggerhead Marina might be worth a look as well.

I want reinforce what Pascal said, the beginning of October to the end has a BIG change in weather. Cold is Cold I am sure you can handle since you still have thick blood
But the Winds change a Lot your windows get smaller. If you can change it do it.
I did a boat move to N.C very beginning of Nov and the only way was to do a straight overnight run from Ct to Cape may due to not having many windows.
Good Luck , and enjoy the trip!

That's not what I meant Dave. Hey Randy have you been on my boat lately?
Fwiw as a live aboard you need to look at hurricane protection and the surrounding neighborhood. Cape Canaveral has a mandatory evacuation for hurricanes. Merrit island does not and has well sheltered marinas with less than 6" of tide. Yes 1/2 foot.
Titusville, Sanford and Ft. Pierce are slums in comparison to many other areas especially the down town areas. Cocoa village, cocoa beach and Melbourne areas are nice too.Scott

Re: Delivery Captain recommendations
I'll second Shawn's choice of Capt. Bruce Morrison. He helped deliver our new to us 58 YF from Mass to Charleston S.C. Extremely knowledgeable and a born teacher. My wife and I always felt we had made the best choice. He has continued to answer our many newbie questions without fail. You will not be dissapointed. Lee and Marty Keller M/V Evergreen.

Well considering there is not much you can't fix we need to use the bird as the example of what can go wrong.
By the way he never did anything wrong to cause things to break and probably is not the number one "person in command" for things breaking. He just tells the truth and is a good sport.Scott
