Webasto (sp?) makes a compact self contained unit. Waltp has a source for great prices on 220 volt units.

I installed three Wabaco units and I am very happy with them. I think the cruiseaire/marine air are severly overpriced.

Check out Mermaid units. I had 2 of them on m Willard 40 trawler and loved them. The only problem in 5+ years as a live aboard...the thermostat/controls died. Nice thing about Mermaids? They use normal household thermostats. A quick run to Home Depot and $50 and I was up and running properly.

Check on those webasto I was told they don't have charge ports!
Also did not hear great things about them.
I chose a Marinaire 16K
Quiet only hear the fan sound shield around the compressor, s.s pan and they have gauges built in.
Nice unit! Good price
