If the 70 amp ship's service breaker is tripping from a ground fault error (GFI) or a problem with the ground fault section of the ship's service breaker then it is natural that the dock pedestal or the ship's breaker for the AC compressor will not trip. These two breaker are not GFIC devices and will only trip in the event of high current draw.

Or by being old and tired.

As the before last post says, breakers do get tired. Replacing them with fresh is not hard to do and rules that part out.

As far as voltage drops.... On my motorhome I use a voltage booster..... Intend to put one or more in when I get the boat as marina electrical supplies are as bad, if not worse, than campgrounds. Are you all not using them? Works like a charm.......
