Does anyone know if
A: an old Datamarine depth transducer can be mated to a modern Garmin chart plotter, or
B: there are any modern transducers that would slide into the Datamarine through-hull?

Re: transducer question
What size is the existing through hull? We switch them out all the time but sometimes it makes sense to put in the correct transducer for the boat not the hole.

Re: transducer question
Don't know offhand. I guess I assumed Datamarine would all be the same. I'll have to wait to measure it next weekend.

Re: transducer question
Most of the Datamarine transducers are a different frequency than any of the modern stuff.

Re: transducer question
You can't use the old transducer. Find the one you want to use with the new package and then see want you need to do to install it.
