Has anyone installed this model in a 53 or 58 Hatteras. If so, where? I have just purchased this unit used and wondering what experience and location other boaters have had.

Regardless of brand, the most important thing is filter location. Depending on where you use it, you may need to replace/clean the prefilters as often as every 6 hours

Up north, you need a plankton filter as well

If you have room (and you should in the genny room) install the larger commercial size pre filters (5 and 25 microns). If you are going to use the unit a lot, look into a media filter (sea recovery makes one) to eliminated cartridges. Bulky though

But again, filter access is critical so plan that part carefully. You don't want to have to crawl over a hot genny to reach them!
