    I think the last 340 rolled off the line in the mid 80's, the PA28r is still made, and a new one runs about 500k, which is why it still makes sense to refurb to older birds!

    Good eye. Cessna last produced 340A's in 1981 Even though there are 82 and 84 models they were all made in 1981 and sat unnumbered until sold. We bought this one in 1984 as a demo with 60 hours on it. Sold it 2years ago for nearly what we paid for it. The new owner spent over $100k on a new garmin panel.

    Been using an Ipad for two years now. As far as I am concerned for my purposes it is all that is needed. If it fails, I can quickly upgrade several apps I have on my android to become the nav tool. As others have already said, the accessories are endless.
