Just out of curiosity, where was that lock? Keep in mind that footage was shot from the bridge. I've got more video I shot from water level several hundred yards away, and it was like nothing I've ever seen. As far as turbulent chambers, the roughest one I've ever been in was Melton Hill Lock on the Clinch River, a tributary of the Tennessee.

Sure am glad I live where there are no locks to fight with..... We just get to enjoy our cruises.
And Randy, how can you afford to be away from your "safe job" so long....

    Re: Chattanooga To Charlevoix

Made some changes a couple of months ago Charlie and moved my safe business into a local ACE Hardware owned by a couple I went to school with. With that, I picked up a dozen or so employees that cost me nothing, and they're open seven days a week. I just forward my office calls to my cell. My customers have no problem waiting a week or two for me to deliver their safe because they know I have great prices and 30+ years experience.

The previous message was paid for by Charlie Freeman because he just had to know. Send him a bill Doug, but don't take a check.

We now return to our previously scheduled cruising thread...

I feel like I've been in a fight with a 50,000 lb. boat and am sore as hell. That arch folding has taken its toll. Gonna walk up and check out Hatt Trick as I can see her bridge towering over this commie hydrofoil thing. No signs of life here yet, but I'm going to have to recruit somebody to help me get the arch back up and install the enclosure again as I think we're supposed to get some rain.

Speaking of weather, if any of you are bored, post me up a marine forecast while I'm out looking at Willy's sistership to the mighty Freebird.

    make that an important decision.
