I'm about to change the transmission oil on my twin disc transmissions (Cat 3208). I am unable to read the amount of oil and the oil viscosity on the transmission plates. I believe the oil viscosity is straight 40 weight. Can anyone confirm as indicate likely amount required as well? Thanks. John

Re: twin disc MG506
40 weight straight grade is what you run. You may be able to find the fill capacity on boatdiesel.com, or someone may know it there. They have a lot of specs posted for all kinds of diesel and marine gears.

3-4 quarts if I remember right. Depending on the cooler setup. You check the level with it running in neutral.
