Pascal, I think the 2's were all I had at the time and it was working fine so I left it in there. I'll have to see what choices I have left - I remember we were buying them by the case and took whatever we could get our hands on.

The "block" under the filter was to eliminate the problem of potential fuel bypassing the filter, the issue was not 100% serious but a some potential minor risk. I only had those for the 2010 filters not the 2020's

Follow up.....so it seems that it was the fuel filter. I changed the Racor and the little filter on the genny. The "tempermental" AC unit has been running flawlessly ever since I changed the filters. Can't explain it, but hey, if that's the fix, I'm all good. Now, on to the monkey with the next longest tail.
