    I'm not really an expert, but if it looks good and has no shadows, then it is good enough. I think is more of a mistake to put on too much.

    More is better. 2 coats of primer and 2 top should do it

    If you want a real first class job then dupont epoxy zinc chromate primer and Imron top coat.
