May I ask, with a couple 6V92's, what type of turns do you make? (speed). Yes, very nice in pictures! P.s., I have '72 43'DC with 6-71N's.

With a squeeky clean bottom , tanks 1/2 full, and no current, 24 knots. Typically cruise at 16 knots, 1900 RPM.

What a beautiful boat, it's just what i am looking to liveaboard ! i sure wish you where on the west coast. I am up in the portland Oregon area and there is like 1 or 2 43's on the west coast right now. I am starting to think about looking for one nation wide and ship her her by truck. I asume that can be done. Any idea what ballpark costs might be ? I think i would even be able to get the time to tear the flybridge down and dO 90% of the pep work to get her ready for transport but don't have any idea what a trucking fee would be..... any help guys?

    Walt,

Gets a bit squirrely. Turning the Stabalizers on cuts it down. She is solid up to 18 knots.

I really have no idea. It has been discussed on this forum in the past.

Re: Very Nice 43 Double Cabin

I wondered why you upgraded to a 13.5Kw genset, but then I found out the hard way this week.

There has been a widespread power outage in Grand Rapids, MI. I have a full interface to the house for a genset and installed a 5500Kw genny. Well, I have discovered that it will not drive my clothes dryer, which pulls 50amps(?) I am told. So the 7.5Kw on the boat can handle one the Italian Combi washer/dryers, but a full sized dryer would be too much load for the std. 43' 7.5kw genny.

So you have a great upgrade to your genny.

Thank you. It allows everything on the boat to be run at the same time.
