There was a 58 LRC I had a dock neighbor at Halifax harbor 5 or 6 years ago, and that boat towered over everything. That guy put his stern-to and used the cockpit to get on and off.

Unfortunately not an option here at the house. We are side tied, so I use the swim platform on a medium tide. Use the cockpit gunnel or Marquipt at low tide.
High tide is still a problem, so I will begin construction of a stairway/platform tomorrow if the weather co-operates.

i put a set of aluminum steps facing long ways to the dock, that way no matter the tide there is always a step close to the height of the boat. they are self standing but i screwed them to the dock for extra safety
