    The 12-71's usually have two oil filters and there is a drain plug under the casting to let the whole filter drain out.

    Yes - two filters, but you still have a bunch left in those filters. I was told to punch a hole and it would be easier. I won't get to do it myself until the next change.

    So, your filters are not inverted ?mine drain all the way out through the casting drain.
