I am being told by a knowledgeable-trucking company owner & race car driver-that I need to add zinc to my oil change-for my 44 years old 4-53n's-to survive-any thoughts on this ? Mix

what is he trying to sell you? or is this completely unsolicited opinion with no expectations. clean engine oil that is cf-2 spec, sae 40w and is not overheated or otherwise deprived of its initial qualities is all you need to keep the little engine sound in regards to lubrication.

Re: zinc in oil?
I read the article from "-Hot-Rodder"-and have to say-that I see the need in race cars-but not really needed in 4-53's turning 1900 rpm's. Clean oil-with a treatment of Prolong product-seems the best for my usage. Mix
