I'm pulling my MDJE 7.5kW (ca '79-'80 model) and have an abundance of spare parts, as I also have the remains of another MDJE that I bought for parts a while back.
I have all the obvious good stuff like water pumps, heat exchangers, starters, fuel solenoid, exhaust manifold, etc. I am trying to decide if it worth pulling the more obscure parts like injectors, fuel pump/filter setup, etc.
I also have a good supply of new maintenance items like thermostats, oil filters, fuel filters, gaskets, and so on.
If anyone is interested in making a deal for all or some of these parts, let me know. Also, if there is a somewhat more odd item you need, speak now or forever hold your peace.
I'll try to put together a detailed inventory list this week.
Bob

I just sent out PMs on the four inquiries: fuel shutoff solenoid, elbow and heat exchanger, water pumps, and injector pump. Besides this site, I can be reached by cell at 203-437-5219 or email, rbradley04@snet.net.

Re: ONAN MDJE Parts available
Hi Bob,
I have a 1975 7.5, I changed my raw water pump, started up and ran for 15 mins, I shut it down and it won't restart. Fuel, fuel pump is not the issue, I was wondering if you have a fuel solenoid anf if so would it fit my older model?
Thanks,
Mark

Re: ONAN MDJE Parts available
Sorry. The fuel solenoid is already sold. Have you tried jumpering 12v+ to the solenoid to ensure that it is or is not working?
Your problem sounds a lot like my last summer. Started out putting a brand new water pump on it. It quit, and I put a brand new fuel solenoid on it. Ran briefly but then shut down. I bypassed most of the sensors with toggle switches. Started, ran out to the canyons, and 12 hrs later it died and never started again.
The Norpro 9kW is running about $6500 these days, and mine is due to get in sometime in the next week or so.Everyone should believe in something - I believe I will go fishing - Henry David Thoreau
