It looks like some of these tools required removing the rudder. The Algonac and Propsmith do not.

I bought a Walter model years ago and I keep it aboard just in case. I have used other models but the
Walter works very well for me.

I was wondering why it was called Minderman puller......and it's because it was patented by R.A. Minderman in 1938 PDF here http://www.freepatentsonline.com/2169898.pdf

After I went to DynaQuads on my boat the algonquin puller would not work,
it was too fat to fit between the blades.
I made the same puller shown in the earlier post with pipe flanges and all thread, worked great.
I also made a cutlass bearing press at the same time.Bill
