Re: The Trilogy Begins
Man, finally got back to the boat after a couple of weeks of house work, and Jeff's bimini,,,finally got the windshields in, 40 ga, stratoglass. that stuff looks pretty good and works better than I thought it would. Got all the snaps in and then discovered Jeff didn't have one of the snaps we needed for cloth to cloth type apps. So they are ordered and as soon as they come in I will post a few pics of the finished product. Here is a pic of Jeff's wife who is all happy that we got this far with the bimini. Hell, it supprised us how good we did, LOL
I was getting homesick for the boat. Will probably stay onboard till next wednesday or later, got a lot to do.Last edited by mobilemn1; 08-17-2009 at 10:34 PM.

Re: The Trilogy Begins
The Hatteras gods were smiling, but now...
Bimini looks pretty good! You need to make window covers for yours. That will also help keep it cool. Do you have any kind of AC aboard? Even a window unit will help.
We're going to the lake tomorrow... kids day, o boy!! 12 souls on board for the Gary (uh oh!) Indiana air show. maybe michael will float up next to us... ;-)) I dont think they ever figgerd out where to bury it so maybe it was a burial at sea! LOL wsyachtsmanWILLY

Re: The Trilogy Begins
Acutally just sitting here in the aft stateroom with a drawer pulled out and a piece of plywood for a desk, LOL...somewhat creative, LOL.....Nice night, fairly cool, this has actually been the coolest July I can remember. So much for Al Gorid. After this week I am taking some measurements back to do some sewing for my boat. Window covers, helms hatch cover with screen no less for the keeping of the peskes out. We have mesquitoes big enough to tote you off sometimes and because of all the rain,,,,,guess what,,,,tons of them...Been holding off on pulling the windows until I got some covers made. I know its going to take a while to get them back into shape and repaired properly.
Hey YB,,,,I don't know when, but I will get to play like you after all the work is further along. I may look like a scalded dog out on the water,,,,,but I'll get there. You and Ppat have fun,,,,,I been watching them videos you been posting.

Re: The Trilogy Begins
Hey YB, I have ac onboard but the problem is I am using an outside recpticle at friends house and with the drop cord I lose to much voltage, and the water pump is frozen. Affeared to remove it in case a thru hull breaks and you know my sitiation there. But am trying to get the bilges cleaned up and as you can see I eliminated the one main obstacle to that happening. LOL. Was going t start on the water lines, replacing the old copper. I can get to all but the galley sink fairly easily. Got my list to pic up fitting for the changeover Monday. I want to build a manifold so I can cut off individual areas. You wouldn't believe where Bubba put the water connections for the Hot water heater supply and the pump to system. What a nightmare and having now a disabled hand from the contortions.
You mentioned once before about not painting below the water line,,,,,How bout if it is dusty dry there???? I want to paint the sidewall some as I am going to put some piping up there out of the way. So how looooowwww can I goooooooo?
Have fun with Kids day,,,that's got to be a blast,,,,waiting for pics and movies. Have fun!!!!!

Re: The Trilogy Begins
I have searched all over the place looking for a 12 volt pressure switch for a Jabsco belt driven water pump. I can find the pumps but I need a 25# cutoff switch. Any help would be appreciated, as I may just be overlooking it somewhere. I can't see replacing a 300 pump for a 15 switch. There abouts.

Re: The Trilogy Begins
Hey man... just walked in the door. Lotsa drama at Ppats house etc etc and I am outa Dramamine. Will elaborate later...
As far as the switch goes, mine has a 110 AC and a 32 vdc water system. Two switches on a tubing manifold. A $10 pressure switch from Ace will work just fine for either... pressure is pressure and a pair of contacts. Thats what I'd do, but you can always get a Ford brake lite switch. Those are normally open with 10 lbs to close. Napa also has a ton of normally closed switches too... 1/8 and 1/4 NPT. Personally, I'd go to ACE. Well swithes typically have a lever on the side... start, run and off. It'll simplify matters... These are made by Square D and FURNAS... AMF wsLast edited by yachtsmanbill; 08-02-2009 at 09:36 PM.
