Christmas Rock

It has been a 6 year tradition to go Rockfishing on Christmas day. We went out at 1 and picked up a 36 incher around 3 o'clock. Pulling in a fish that big without a net on our 43 DC was fun. I went on the swim step while future son in law held the fishes head up. Managed to get a gloved hand inside his gills and bring him up the ladder. Fun day had by all. 55 and 18 knots of NE wind. Sounds like you had a good time and your tradition remains alive. Hope it last for many years to come. I solved that net problem on our 43DC. I purchased a painters extension pole and attached a 36in. dia. net to the end. We now fish off the bow and the net pole telescopes out to 24ft. We have landed many 30 inch Walleyes that way.
