    So I should probably look at the syncronizer when I go to the boat and the problem almost has to be electrical. I'm glad that the syncronizer is in the easiest spot to reach, unlike the stupid steering reservoir.

    Well I went down and found a loose wire on the starboard engine that needed to be fixed, and the tach generator had a broken shaft. Plastic? Really? So now I have to find one to buy. Maybe a local marine place here will have it. It was attached to the Glendinning synchronizer.

    Great place.

    I just went through this and was referred to them by Glendinning. New sender costs 85 bucks. I think the Glendinning guy (very helpful people there by the way) mentioned he had some of the shafts, so you might want to call them first.
