ist aufgeshpeilten. Those fumes are pretty tasty arent they? LOL. I know your boat had some holes and hurricane damage; was the wood black also?
Just wait until you get some more coats on it.
Maybe you and Paige can......... ;-)) ws

I got the camera back with the pool net, but you know when I opened the battery compartment, and saltwater poured out that was the end. Oh well...it was a few years old, needed a bath I guess.

As for the wood, it isn't black...it's just weathered from 40 years in the boat. After the muriatic acid it looks new again...although I feel weathered by 40 years when ya get a good whiff of the acid. WHEW!

I'll take pics tomorrow with an old camera, hopefully post tomorrow night.

Keep 'em coming Bill and before you know it, you'll have this whole place renewing their woodwork!

Salvaged the memory card, but not the camera. Also took my old camera with me today and got some shots of the progress Bill inspired. Paige was in charge of the doors and drawers. I undertook the v-birth...oven cleaner, acid, sanding and a coat of varnish. Man what a difference! Bill, I hope the judges like my work as much as they like yours!

Since it was drizzling on and off this morning, we set Paige up in the salon to get the drawers and doors from the v-birth done. There's 4 coats on now, we'll see how it looks tomorrow.

Paige, you look like you're having fun!! I know that I love helping Bill on the Hatt Trick. It's all a learning process, but what fun it is. Bill has even taught me a couple of new dance steps on the diamond plate in the engine room.
Bill says it is sooo nice to know that someone is listening to what he has to say and can learn from what he knows ( or learns by trial and error).
Paige you look like you have a sun burn; here it is called a wind burn!! That or just like me you just love the work!!! ppat

We had a ton of fun today... Eric SMOOTHMOVE Jensen stopped by and looked impressed! All you guys with the nice boats better appreciate them! The sub is soooo much work, but ya know I love doing this and feel blessed that Pat and I met and she really enjoys it too! I mean that... ws

So before we left today, we got another coat on the dinette valance which makes the 3rd. Its really beginning to take shape. While Ppat is doing the walls tomorrow, I'll be painting the lockers and bunks up front.
The ground shot shows just a bit of the jettisoned junk outa the salon today. Old dinette stuff etc. Ppat came up with a real brain fart yesterday... we were discussing building a surround seating affair in the salon and figured and measured the white couch in the upper salon which will be a perfect fit downstairs. Thats gonna open the back up for a sliding door and screen. That is after it all gets A-W fer sure! ws
