Another shift looks more like Charlie now. The eye passed east of us about 40 miles since we were on the backside NBD. I hope it weakens and goes west.

yeah, what a beautiful day! not a cloud in the sky... we just got back from the sandbar with the tender!

it's still a compact storm with 64kts wind only extending 40 miles, forecasted to be 50 miles out by the time it gets closest to us. not much to worry about here... folding the bimini is as much prep as we need.

Ike is looking bad for Texas. Isn't one of our members in Kemah, TX? I was just watching a report from there. They were at a marina. I saw a lot of bimini tops still up. Thats not good.... this sucker is going to push a lot of water I bet....
