Well for a second year we had Boat races right in the Great south bay where I did most of my boating as a Youngster oh yeah and also Scott "boatsb!!
It was a great day until one flipped. Two lives lost. Well it is one of the most dangerous sports for a reason.

Re: Boat races
Thats not the first time a boater was killed piloting a catamaran. They are dangerous at those speeds because they fly. I remember the Jessee James was in town getting some work done by a friend of mine and he told me they were moving to a Cat the next season. One of the brothers was killed in that new cat a year later. Sadly the spectators got what the were looking for and maybe a bit more.
The Racers know the risk the take and still take it so I hope for their sake they lost their lives doing something the loved and their families should appreciate that.Scott
