Thanks to some impatient homeowners and a very helpful Boat US operator, Instant Karla made it to Savannah. I am going to have the bottom stripped to the gelcoat and the running gear checked out. She has some small blisters but nothing too bad. I am considering changing out the electrical completely. She was struck by lightening and it makes sense to convert it all over to 12/24. Does anyone have any thoughts on this idea? After dealing with the limited clearance around the motors I am also considering taking out the interior walls that make up the companionway and turning the whole space into engine room.
I posted two photos in the gallery if anyone wants to see the blank slate so to speak. Oh and yes the radar arch is coming down.
