Defender has quit doing any rigging or splice work. They are a generic mail order/drop ship retailer now. Sad

Try Hamilton Marine, still a family owned and operated marine retailer. They just made me a new rode, produced in 4 days, of 300' Yale 3/4" 8 plait spliced to 100' 3/8" ACCO G43 chain and with me picking up it was $1350. Next closest price was 1850 and that was R&W Rigging in New Bedford MA. On top of that R&W couldn't promise domestic materials I'm sure youll find their price and service more than acceptable. https://hamiltonmarine.com/splicing/
Watch out for the Chinese stuff. A friend had a connection with a “windage” company in Baltimore. Got a good deal on several spools. Spool was marked 3/4 but measured somewhere between 5/8-3/4 with the caliper. Was hard to splice too.
I always go with the largest that are designed for my boat's cleats. Formula I was taught was 1/16" of line diameter per every inch of cleat length. So a 12" cleat would use a 3/4" line. An 8" cleat a 1/2" line etc.
Just replaced my lines on my 1976 58 LRC that weighs in around 50 tons.
Used 3/4" double braid all around. Had them put a 36" eye splice on one end of each line and added built in chafe protection on the eye.
Had four (4) 40' lines and four (4) 75' lines custom made.
Paid $145 each for the 40 footers and $185 each for the 75 footers.
Had a custom red, white and blue tracer pattern done as well.
They were great to work with and delivered as promised. Would use them again in a New York minute!

The other thing is cleat size. Most Hatt cleats will only handle 3/4 if you have 2 lines per cleat.
