Re: Not good not good
South is safer than central. Port canaveral is closed and has to be evacuated by noon tomorrow.
No place to bring a boat for dockage or hauling in the area and the more north the worse it can be.
It's going to be interesting here as we have no place to hide if it's going to slide up the coast.
I bought a lot of booze. It's all to be for my "the hurricane petered out" party.

Re: Not good not good
Got the email from BoatUS. Says east coasters eligible to get reimbursed 50% for haul out costs.

Re: Not good not good
They say it could run from south of us at canaveral up to NY/NJ.
if it just runs up the coast like I'm thinking offshore 100 or less miles it will just trash the whole eastern seaboard.

Re: Not good not good
He what if we drop a moab on the eye? Could that weaken it?

Re: Not good not good
Am visiting the Fort Lauderdale Boat Show for first time 3-7 Nov. Will it still be standing? Or in disarray?

Re: Not good not good
Moving expensive aluminum today and tomorrow morning. Gonna try to cross the Broad to Windmill Harbor on the back side of HHI late tomorrow afternoon. Locked in and surrounded by condos. Looks like the best place to be.
Looked for a haul out but no luck.
Our marina got the crap kicked out of it by Hermine. My dock is almost sunk now! Hoping for the best. Not looking pretty.

Re: Not good not good
We have a pretty early call to evacuate the area. Nervous and anxious but what happens happens.

Re: Not good not good
This is one you can't hide from unless you can get it on a truck and head west. That said, the upper Bay is no longer covered with spaghetti. :D
