Thanks for the linkx Willie, it's going to be good to finally meet you in person.

There is another place you could stop about 12 miles north of Tarpon Springs, is Hudson channel, straight and well marked it dead ends at port hudson marina. That said you do need at least 1/2 tide to feel good about the depth. Just another option.

Hey, I can do MGD when it's free, but I'm almost afraid to ask what a spliff is. Single Pretty Limber Interesting Fun Female?

1100 gallons huh? Not trying to be a smartass, but how much extra fuel did you have to pack on? Best I remember, a 53C holds 825 gallons of fuel. How far is it from Ft Myers to PC?
I can relate to a long "day" as it took me and Steve H. about 30 hours to run from Clearwater to PC a couple of years ago. Needless to say, we weren't running 2,100 or 20 knots. That was about 250 miles as I recall, but we didn't exactly run a straight course.

Is that the channel that comes in to the south/behind Anclote Key?
I ran my 58 in there but couldn't remember the name of the inlet. I don't remember the name of the place, but there was a commercial fuel dock to starboard coming in that had really good prices on fuel. Too bad they were closed when I came in, otherwise my "Maiden Voyage From Hell" thread would read a lot differently. :(
Re: Fort Myers To Chicago On A 55C
Actually a 53C does hold 1100 gals, 400 in the bow, 350 mid and 350 aft, great range at 9.5knts.
