All systems are a go (except an engine)
Full fuel, case of filters, clean bill of health on the good engine.
Shove off is 9:00pm tonite. Randy will try to run full hull speed (9 knts) at 1300 rpm. I Suggesed he back down to 1150 and maintain 50% rated WOT.
I asked him to give me a call before he pushes off.

OK, being a river rat I don't know how the thunderstorms act on the gulf. In this area it seems more like a relatively short term pain in the neck when the storms come up. The wind picks up, and the water gets rougher, but nothing that the hatt can't take with ease. That being said, I hope that the weather is nothing but fair along their path to PC.
I'll be thinking about Randy and Steve all night tonight. Godspeed guys. Hope you get a chance to post when you make it to PC tomorrow.

Other than thunderstorms the seas don't look too bad. But a squall could be bad news.

Right now radar is showing pretty much clear saling. Now is the time to light that thing and turn and burn. In a realitive slow sense. LOL

The Bird shoved off 45 minutes ago. Engine running good. Making 8.7 knts at 1300 rpm in calm seas.
Hoping to make landfall before dark tomorrow.
