So they might simply be for displaying amps on source 1 or source 2.instead of having 2 amp gauges on the input?

Turn some options on (big loads) and try them out.
A reminder to try to order a print sets and/or manuals from Hatteras before the last Hatt guy leaves.

Yes that's a good idea , I'll suggest that to him.he should be able to see amp reactions as he switches back and forth.thanks guys.

Only if those old analog meters are actually working - which they may not be.
