That's impressive. I think I found my next boat. It's good to know that those engines will still have plenty of life in them when you sell her to me. :)

That's one of the best things about a long boat your displacment speed goes up so you don't have to crawl to get get fuel milege. Those engines are perfect for that also they tolerate low RPM light load much better that DDs.
If your stopping in the Tampa Area on your trip home let me know I'd love to see it. In fact there's a few forum members in the area that probably would also.

Congrats. There is nothing more exciting then figuring out a new boat. Best of luck with her.

Byron does it have a bow thruster?
The picture makes me wonder. It has a spot on the picture that could be, but then again i do need glasses.
Will the name be on her for the trip home or will that happen after she gets home?
TRUTH OR RUMOR?
You have delayed the trip home in order to rent out rooms for the SUPERBOWL?
GEAUX SAINTS!
Byron, one more. Does it have AIS?
If so, what is the registered name at this time?
Simply beautiful! Congratulations and enjoy.
Nope, no AIS or XM Weather (yet). The boat has a Marine PC/Glass Bridge system running Nobeltec Admiral with Nobeltec's Insight (IR2) 6kw/6.5' open array digital radar package. I ordered the XM Weather Plus Pack and WX Worx USB module last week so hopefully I'll have that up and running by the end of this week.
I was tempted to add AIS when I designed the electronics package for the 58YF back in 2007, but it AIS has come a LONG way since then and still has some maturing to do so I believe I will do what I did then and wait a bit longer until I pull the trigger on AIS. I must say, it sure would be fun to know whick barge is about to round the corner this summer @ The Wharf while we're kicking back drinking beers!
Speaking of beer, I just bought the first keg of beer for the kegerator. My temperature guage has been reading a frosty 30 degrees all week with no keg, so I loaded up a keg this afternoon and we'll see how cold the beer is tomorrow! :)
Have one for me :D
Byron,
I wanted to give the machinery a couple of days under full load before i asked the question.
Whats the temperature of the KEGERATOR?
I want one too! Oh, and I'll also have a beer with her. Nicely done.
