Re: 53 MY Repower, started!
How exciting. Looking forward to seeing progress
Re: 53 MY Repower, started!
Oh wow, having flash backs.
Might have missed this but how far are you going to go rehabbing the ER such as paint, exhaust tubes, etc.
The best of luck, have been there twice, got it pretty perfect the second time.
Mostly because the crew was pushing me to some projects I wasn't going to do initially, fortunately we did, they were spot on with their guidance/suggestions.
It's a long way to the finish line, will be more than worth it, it's like getting a new boat.
Re: 53 MY Repower, started!
Going to repaint the ERs. Replacing all the exhaust as the hoses were sagging and soft and they need to be 8" instead of 6". Replacing all the sea cocks, removing strainers and installing South Bay strainers. New fuel lines, filters, batteries and cables... everything.
Re: 53 MY Repower, started!
Don’t forget those darn waste lines LOL. Can’t wait to see the ongoing photos of the work. Keep them coming.
Re: 53 MY Repower, started!
Waste lines for the master have been done, when I combined the heads and companionway into one big master head Forward, after the repower I m going. To remove the existing head and build a new one where the dinettes used to be. So yes there will be new waste line!
Re: 53 MY Repower, started!
Great, will be nice.
Using fiberglass tube or hose for the new exhaust?
Re: 53 MY Repower, started!
You’re going to have a new Yacht for all intent and purpose. WOW
