  1. Insurance Underwriters

Anyone know of the best underwriters to go to for 1982 version of Hatts? Also, any classes or courses that may reduce the premiums? Thanks in advance for any assistance. Regards, Ron

  2. This is what it's all about!

An island anchorage in the Canada's North Channel where you have the whole island all to yourself, a bay with a beach and a Hatteras. This was yesterday. Yes, I loved the Keys and the Outer Banks too, but you share it with so many other people there. Doug Shuman

  6. Red face Therapy

Therapy a 1979 43' DC is currently sitting on the hard and I have been thinking of replacing all through hulls and seacocks. I do not have any leaks and the seacocks work, however they are very difficult to open and close. I am quite sure my insurance carrier is going to require a survey early...

  7. How cleaning hull=4 days in hospital

I had my A/C scupper clogged by growth 2 weeks ago so just went over the side, took 10 mins to get all the stuff out and get back onboard. Something I usually have to do a few times each summer. It's also not uncommon to get a small or very minor cut from the barnicles from the dock and/or posts....

  9. The Italian Job

Hello All, As some of you know, for the past year I have been looking for a Hatt SF. After narrowing my focus down to Strikers and Hatts, I had further narrowed my aim to Hatts in general, then a 60C. Over the past few months I had become somewhat paralyzed by a combination of a lot of choices and...

  10. Philly to Annapolis

This has nothing to do with boating, other than the fact that Slow Lane will be getting a bottom job while we're out of town. Just can't pass up the wealth of information available from you guys. Tim and I will be flying to Philly next week, then driving to Annapolis, staying overnight, then...

  11. New Volvo high output IPS system.

Huge difference in power output. Now up to 670HP! Volvo claims that sportfish builders in the Carolinas are building boats with this system. claims that it will revolutionize sportfishing. Volvo is also tooting that this system would make a great repower for larger yachts. IMO, I think it's a bit...

OK, I admit I am hooked on that show..... ( l like Sig best). Have also watched the version usijng the N.E. lobstermen, which isn't nearly as good as the crab fishermen... But now I am watching "Tuna Wranglers" on the Discovery Channel. This is a neat show and totally interesting on...

I just returned back to our home port after a trip to Mackinaw Island in northern Lake Huron. While at the island, we met up with DLCameron. My boat is hull #759 and his is hull #760. We both figured that these two old girls have not been this close to each other since they left the factory...
