With the present economy, do any of you know if Hatteras is going to be sending out tickets to the Lauderdale Boat show ? I'm actually surprised that I haven't seen a start in the preparations yet ...ie adding on to some of the docks.

For some reason, though I followed Ike closely as it traveled toward our shores, and followed news where I found it, I've missed the extent of the devastation this storm has brought to the TX coast. I saw a few before and after pictures of ravaged waterfront properties, but that's to be expected...

Has anyone dealt with Redline Marine, in New Jersey? They claim to be a boat wholesaler, with non negotiating prices, and I wanted to know if the company is for real. They are advertising a 1976 53ft Hat for 179,000, and I thought I would take a look. Any comments good or bad? thanks gunsmoke

For many years I have heard the old salts tale that boat loans have less defaults than homes, RV's, autos, etc., in tuff times. This seems like the ideal time to see if that is really the case. Does anyone have some fact on this subject for our current times? Pete

The boat, seems like a 53, is in Belmont harbor in chicago, lisping heavily to the left. I have not seen it take out much but it is in trouble right now...
