  2. Heads up Bahamas and So Florida

Looks like the Sahara dust is gone. Nothing formed yet but time to think about a plan. I’m getting out my second and 3rd set of lines. Best to be prepared than caught with your pants down. It won’t be the last before the season is over.

  4. Transporting our new (older) 49 from Maine to Florida starting on Aug 8th

Hi fellow cruisers, I’m seeking advice on weather conditions and safe limits for ocean travel, particularly concerning wind and wave conditions in the Atlantic from Maine to Florida. We’re based on the Gulf Coast (St. Pete) and typically cruise up and down the Gulf, but we're planning to venture...

  8. And yet ANOTHER question -- MidShip double berths converted to Full ?

It would seem that there is enough room to reposition the two twins, flip the bed 90 degrees and turn the midship stateroom into a single full size bed. anyone ever done that? Photos? What kind of issues? The AC return under the middle drawers is a no-problem thing to reroute. There's nada...

My dad bought the Endless Summer June 76 in Lauderdale almost 50 years and 20,000 hours later I still have her. Its been almost half a century, and if there was a better summer than 1976 I'll...

  11. Anyone up for riding up the east coast?

Hey guys, I am taking off on July 8th to head up the east coast. No real agenda. The captain is riding with me for 4 days to finish my training and then I'll be able to drive without the supervision. I'm looking for some boat buddies that might want to ride along. I have no agenda......

  13. Hurricane Beryl and Grenada and Insurance

  15. I really hate Cruisair Dometic

Long story short… a few days ago we had an electrical issue inside the Cruisair control cabinet on the 116 which damaged two of the 3 chillers control boards. My AC guy had one in stock so at least we ve been able to run on 2 chillers. Well it turns out Cruisair no longer carry these boards and...

We ve been in the Exumas for a week now with the usual scattered summer shower and thunderstorms… Last night we got hit by a 35kts squall at Big Majors, Staniel Cay with winds blowing out of the west, in other words zero protection. It was a reminder that you have to be ready for weather...

Ran aground on plane. Here is a link to what I posted on THT where I'm seeking some local knowledge. Anyone here have experience in the OWW? I can't figure out how I went wrong other than no good deed goes unpunished when I let the oncoming guy have the wrong side of the channel. ...

I tried these on a little 13' Whaler, seats broke down quickly. Looking for something way better, anyone have a recommendation on a good brand? I think I still need a folding seat but way better quality!
